Patricia Yossen/Daniela Edburg/Katri Walker
The Panoramic View presents a collective exhibition of three interesting and young artists: Katri Walker from Scotland, Patricia Yossen from Argentina, and Daniela Edburg from Mexico. Through fourteen holes they filter concepts such as confinement, intimacy, voyeurism, and popular culture through their peculiar sensibilities. The five photographs of Daniela Edburg could be considered multiple self-portraits. In them, the artist appears in intimate and domestic moments with the peculiarity that she is surrounded by different versions (if not moments) of herself. A suggestive and playful way of tackling the instability of being, the indeterminacy of origin and other problems at home. Through four figures, Patricia Yossen explores confinement as a metaphor. For the sculptor, confinement is not limited to being confined within a small space, rather it is about the fear that permeates our daily life. The fatal introversion that we all experience to a greater or lesser extent expressed in three dimensions. Armed with five small models and a sharp sense of humor, Katri Walker has created scenes that, in conjunction with her titles, reference the everyday and core elements of popular culture: art, music, film, fashion and religion.
