Road Movie is the piece that opened The Panoramic View. It is a collaboration between Iván Edeza (image) and Rogelio Sosa (sound). The slides that are projected are fragments of the signs that are commonly seen throughout national highways, announcing dances by popular bands. Its peculiar texture is due to the fact that the photographs were not taken in the place, but in front of a computer monitor that showed a picture taken from a video recording and digitally manipulated. The sound takes the music of the bands that are advertised on these signs and subjects it to a corresponding process, breaking down and fragmenting its elements until its meaning is altered. 

With Road Movie, Edeza and Sosa have transformed elements of popular culture to give us their particular vision of what it means to lean out of a car window, watching how it runs and a landscape change where it never seems to change.
