Feminine beauty is one of the most enduring archetypes throughout the history of art; not so much in its formal aspect, but in the construction of an ideological prototype that materializes in the woman’s body. Forms demand throughout time an expectation that refers to social values. The remains of the gentle Venus of Milo, the color of the hair or the length that covered the waist of the Venus of Picasso, are all women and myths at the same time. They represent the manifestation of a collective dream in search of their desires.
With this proposal LC060 wants to come into play with such appearances, pointing out the search for an ephemeral beauty. The way in which the fictional recreation of these muses is elaborated tries to reveal more than a copy, a cultural interpretation. The work process also interferes with the one who, with his Look, finishes contemplating the archetype. Together, the muse and the Panoramic View build a new possibility of finding what YOU ARE LOOKING FOR: the fortuitous collision of a common expectation.
